New Friday Meme: Favorite Post Of The Week

I read so many amazing and helpful blog posts every day, and I thought to myself, “What better way to share a Favorite Post than to create a meme around it?”

Thus, Favorite Post Friday is born today.

We bloggers read other blogs every day, and sometimes I stumble upon a post that I wish everyone could read.

With this meme, Bloggers can share a post from the week that inspired them, made them laugh, made them cry, or just gave them useful information.

I hope this will be a great way to get readership for fellow bloggers and writers as blog readers visit not only your blog, but the blog you are posting about.

So…here is the copy/paste info for the meme for your blog should you choose to participate:

Favorite Post Friday is an original weekly meme hosted at A Day In The Life Of An Aspiring Author. This meme was created in hopes of increasing readership for deserving blogs and to become a resource for helpful and inspirational information for writers.
Each Friday, a Favorite Post Of The Week will be shared here. EVERYONE is welcome to participate. Just link back to A Day In The Life Of An Aspiring Author and leave a link to your post through the Linky Tool at the bottom of the page so that everyone can visit your blog. If you don’t have a blog, just leave a link to your favorite post of the week in the comments section. Posts should relate to writing, writers, books, inspiration, etc.
Enjoy…and get to know your fellow bloggers!!

*raises hand*  I was right there with the crowd, joining in the hyperventilating.  What does that mean?  Was that a secret shout-out to me?
I finally calmed down enough to actually read the post.  Always a good idea.  *ahem*  Kristen also said:
“[B]logging about writing and creating a writing blog are two different animals.”
Ahh.  Her point was that our blog should be about our brand.  About us.
If all our posts are about writing craft, then the focus is on the craft of writing.  If we blog about things that interest us, which can include writing, then the focus is on us.
For the “What should we blog about?” question, Kristen gave the answer in her post:
Want to know the formula for a hit blog?
Topics you are excited about + topics readers are excited about = hit blog
