Last night the hubs and I had a rare Date Night.
I bought tickets to Exit/In (Nashville) for Father’s Day to see a band we love.
Now. This guy in the picture? NOT the lead singer of the band we went to see, but the lead singer of the band we thought was even BETTER.
That’s what I love about live music.
You never know when an up and coming band, or a band you’ve never heard of, is going to trot onstage and blow your mind.
That’s what happened last night. And we have a new band to follow shamelessly. 🙂
The night was filled with a lot, and I mean a lot, of scream-o. More than I’d bargained for, actually. I spent most of the night wondering how in the %#@$ these people still had vocal chords.
Then, the guy in the picture- (yeah I know it’s blurry. There was a fog machine)- and his band strolled out onto the stage. I was wowed because they are original and talented. They don’t need strobe lights or fog machines (that belonged to the main showcase). They don’t need to dance or head bang on stage. All they have to do is play and you want to go buy their CD.
So…without further adieu…Here is a sample from a band that I hope gets bigger and bigger.
